Iona Carmine Roisin (b. 1989) is a visual artist with a practice rooted in the written word. Their work takes a number of forms: moving image, text-objects, poetry or organising. Through language they return to the same concerns: ways of making, difficulty, intimacy, failure. This often leads to ‘art about art’ or works that discuss their own conditions. Originally from the U.K, but based in Helsinki since 2015 they are a co-founder of Trans Library Helsinki and a member of the trans publishing collective Almanac Press.
