A siren, a myth, an emergency signal, a loss song. You hear a jealous voice, it beckons, perhaps it seeks to help, to guide you, or perhaps it’s only a lure. Careful, you may not be safe.
Produced in collaboration with Josefina Nelimarkka for the event of her exhibition Call, I shall listen:
‘A tiered installation which performs both as text- and material-based choreography. A voice calls out in diminuendo to move within the fluid relationships of colourings, wor(l)dings, text-îles, saturations and other material positions. The surface of history is not about a trace of presence but a resistance to being held.’
